Sea and Island Coconut Tree Program

In March 29th 2016,  Executive Board of Island&Sea Coconut Tree Program was a meeting with the Provincial Delegation of Ben Tre Province according to the proposal of the Secretary of the Provincial Delegation - Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung. The content of the meeting is to coordinate between Union of Ben Tre province and Vietnam Coconut Association to launch the Island&Sea Coconut Tree Program



After the outline of the content and the progress of this program presented by Mr. Cao Ba Dang Khoa - Vice Board Executive, Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung announced the resolution's content of Provincial Committee of Ben Tre Province
In particular, Ben Tre Province has gathered 1000 seedling coconut trees, more than 2 tonnes of bean sprout, and many variety of ornamental plants enclosed with the heart of Ben Tre Youth toward Truong Sa. Cormrade Ha Quoc Cuong - Deputy Secretary of Provine Group assinged to direct implement the program in collaboration with Executive Board of the Island&Sea Coconut Tree. Executive Board will discuss the program with the Navy Command about the plan to hold the press conference announced the Program, and implemented to give 1000 the coconut trees, 2 tonnes of soil, bean sprout, and fertilizer to Truong Sa in time for the rainy season. At the same time, the scientists plan from Institute of Oil and Oil Plants to coordinate technical training to plant coconut for Truong Sa soldiers and naval is set up.

In the spirit of youthful enthusiasm, Ben Tre Youth was in determination to finish the program Greening Truong Sa, greening the island, decreasing the wrath of the crazy wind storm season, adding fresh water underground, fuel and food to remote islands fellow and soldiers. It is also one of the forms of maritime sovereignty of Vietnam.
